Privacy Policy

Rentclic operates the SaaS platform at rentclic.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information about you when you use our service. By creating an account or using Rentclic, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the platform: account information (name, email, company, phone, billing address); usage data (pages visited, session duration, IP address, browser type) via cookies and server logs; vehicle and fleet data you enter; reservation data including customer names, contact details, and rental dates; and subscription billing details processed by our payment providers — we do not store full card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to create and manage your account and provide platform access; process subscription payments and send invoices; respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues; send product updates and security alerts (you may opt out of marketing emails at any time); analyze anonymized usage patterns to improve the platform; and comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers in the European Union using Neon (PostgreSQL) with encryption at rest and in transit, and hosted on Vercel in EU regions. We apply TLS encryption for all data in transit, hashed passwords, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews.

4. Third-Party Services

We share data with trusted third parties only as necessary: payment processors (Stripe / LemonSqueezy) who handle card data directly under PCI-DSS compliance — we receive only a payment reference and subscription status; email providers for transactional emails such as confirmations and invoices; and error monitoring tools using anonymized traces. We never sell, rent, or trade personal data for marketing purposes.

5. Cookies

Rentclic uses essential cookies to maintain your authenticated session and remember preferences. Analytics cookies may be used to understand aggregate platform usage. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect certain features.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access your personal data; request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data; request deletion of your account and associated personal data; receive your data in a portable format (JSON or CSV); and object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise these rights, please use our contact form. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your subscription is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records kept for 7 years under French accounting law). Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
